Andrew Koziar, retired at the end of 2022. Andrew was the founding partner of our firm, called to the bar in 1980. Prior to entering law, he received a Doctorate in Physics at the University of Toronto. He then received a Bachelor of Laws from the same university. During his studies for the bar, he received the Day, Wilson, Campbell Commercial and Company Law Prize.

Andrew is active in the community. He is a proud supporter of Oshawa’s Ukrainian community, and a long-time member of Kiwanis, a community service and volunteer group. He has been recognised as Kiwanian of the Year on multiple occasions, and is a past president and current treasurer. In 1992, Andrew was awarded the Governor General’s Medal for Compatriots, Community, and Canada.

Andrew graduated from the University of Toronto Law School in 1978, and was awarded the Day, Wilson, Campbell Commercial and Company Law Prize for achieving the highest mark on his Bar Admission Course.

Now that he is retired Andrew hopes to spend more time taking exotic bicycling trips with his spouse Dr. Mary Koziar and fishing, photography, squash, canoeing, and other outdoor activities.
